These hardwood trays were handmade by the rural villagers of Northern Thailand. Each one has a unique look and was carved from a single solid piece of wood with primitive tools. Once used by the villagers to spread the hot, sticky rice on to get the proper mositure content now these primitive trays have been replaced with aluminum.
