On the island of Timor in Indonesia, a lime would be eaten with a betel nut during the Birih Betel Nut ceremony. The lime had to be kept fresh and it was carefully housed in an intricately carved and air-tight bamboo box. Every box is unique with its own geometric patterns as to be easily recognized by its owner. Sizes and designs vary so please contact the store for current stock. (note: price listed is for each item)
